Can my husband come to the UK even though i am in Benefits? But he can support him self for coming to the Uk.?

My husband is in the philippines and last year AUG.15 2009 we gt married in the philippines.Im indefinite to live and remain in the UK and i want my husband to join me, we have a 4months baby born in the UK and using british pport. I am in income support benefits and housing benefits right now. But my husband will pay for all his expenses for coming in the UK. Is my Benefits gona be a problem in processing his VISA?
