The display on my Compaq Evo N610c has "minimized" and has a 8cm black border around it. How do I restore?

I think i have perhaps accidentally pushed one of the "function" keys by mistake???? and have minimized the screen appearance as none of the actual settings were changed. I ume it is something I have mistakenly hit on the keyboard
