What do you think of the 'educational' value of American History over the last (apprx) 200 years.?

I am (personally) intrigued and fascinated - I believe, that, the story of The Alamo, stands, as, a 'beacon of inspiration' (for all, freedom-loving people.) The 300 Spartans (from yet another Epoch of; identically-entwined Intestinal, and, Inter-Testicular Fortitude) being; a, similar feat of endeavour, against; overwhelming odds.
