My friend is throwing me a shower. Im getting some stuff I dont need right away. Is it rude to return things?

This is my first baby. I registered for the basic essentials - crib, changer, diapers, pump, and crib sheets and then a lot of non essentials - things you need later or don't necessarily need at all. I've looked at my registry and it looks like I am getting a lot of the non essentials and not the essentials. Is it rude for to return some of the more expensive non essentials to get store credit and then use that to get the basics essentials?
